Complete Contest Rules

So…..you like to sing along with some of our songs on the radio, huh?  Do you ever sing in front of people at church? 
Well, how would you like to sing CENTER STAGE in front of a few thousand people, together with MATTHEW WEST, one of the top touring Christian Artists in America during his concert at the Du Quoin State Fair on Sunday, August 28?? 

Real Life Radio, 90.9 The Vine announces the return of our singing contest called “Center Stage” And we want to put you Center Stage to sing with MATTHEW WEST….In other words…you’re not opening the show….you are Center Stage in the show.

Here’s how it works….you send us a CD or DVD of yourself singing a Contemporary Christian Song of your choice……we’ll narrow down the entries to 4 finalists.  Each finalist will meet Matthew West before the concert and audition for him on Sunday, August 28.  The winner will actually be chosen by Matthew West and join him for a song "Center Stage" during his concert at the DuQuoin State Fair in the main Grandstand.  As a lasting momento of the competition, all 4 finalists will receive a gift certificate to professionally record a song at Blaze Recording Studio in the weeks following the concert.  They will have full rights to use the professional recording in any manner desired.

The "Center Stage" Contest is open to all listeners in our 90.9 The Vine Listening area regardless of age, sex, race, church denomination or nationality.  Singers who are under contract with a national recording label are not eligible to participate, however if you have previously recorded a CD as an independent artist in a local or regional studio, that is okay and you are encouraged to participate in the Center Stage promotion.   Employees and immediate family members of Real Life Radio Foundation are also not eligible to participate in Center Stage. 

There is no entry fee.  Participants and contestants selected as finalists are responsible for their own transportation to attend the Matthew West concert at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in DuQuoin.  Each finalists will receive complimentary tickets to the concert.  90.9 The Vine reserves the right to play all or part of your audition entry recording on-the-air and on our website.  Our 2009 Center Stage winner was Jared Mitchell of Norris City, Illinois.

The Deadline for Entries is Friday, August 5th at 5:00PM.
